An entity related to Mack Urban sold the GreenHouse apartments in Columbia City for $32.1 million, property records show.

An entity related to The Matteson Cos. of San Mateo, Calif., paid $258,870 per unit for the 124-unit project.

Amenities in the complex have a food theme such as the professionally managed garden in the courtyard and P-Patches for residents.

GreenHouse is the first new market-rate apartments built in Columbia City since 1969, Mack Urban officials told the DJC earlier this year.

Security Properties and The Wolff Co. have proposed apartment projects in Columbia City.

Runberg Architecture Group designed GreenHouse and Exxel Pacific was the general contractor. It opened last fall and was full in four months.

The Matteson Cos. acquires and develops real estate on the West Coast, and has properties in California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Matteson bought Langara, a 100-unit complex in Issaquah, for $28.2 million in January. It was the company’s first apartment purchase in this region. Matteson also owns Sparling Technology Center in Lynnwood.
